Life At Jetset…

By jetsetcouriers

is so fast paced and hectic that I just don’t have time to blog more than once a month. I’ve also got a bridge to sell you, it’s orangey-red and goes from San Francisco to Marin county and is an absolute steal at a mere $250. Call me. We’ll talk.

Seriously, between life and work and the fact that I can’t get anyone else to post on this beeatch the old blog gets pushed to the bottom of the priority list. One thing I have been thinking about is the neglected A/V page here at Jetsetcouriers.com. My intent is to get some of the content up there that’s being created by this diverse and talented crew of messengers. Amongst my employees are a number of musicians (either in their own bands or guns for hire for others), a film maker, writers and a couple of drunks (just kidding). I really want to develop the A/V page as a place where others can check out all the amazing things being done by the Jetset crew. As you can imagine the fact that I can only muster the energy to post to the blog once a month doesn’t exactly bode well for the A/V page. But with you as my witness I’m going to get something up there before October 15th. It’s a totally random date but usually around that time I’m stressing about what I’m going to be for Halloween so I’ve gotta get it down before then.

In the meantime here’s an interesting topic for discussion. Have you heard about the band Radiohead and their current effort to sell their forthcoming album? If you don’t know Radiohead they’re critical darlings and arguably responsible for some the most significant albums of the last 10 years. The album OK Computer is just about universally regarded as both groundbreaking and trendsetting. Well, so what’s their next move? To sell their highly anticipated new record In Rainbows at whatever price you the consumer deems it worth. It’s a fascinating play in an industry currently befuddled by what to do with illegal downloading and declining CD sales. Pay nothing or pay $15. Whatever you like. Check out this article:

Information Week

It’s a cool little salvo into the gut of the industry, not unlike Pearl Jam’s insistence that they wouldn’t sell tickets through Ticketmaster. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

    Hey Pete,

I just read all the posts.
Blogging is hard when you’re not employed as a blogger, or if you’re just employed.
