While the messenger business usually experiences a summer slow down, I can’t really say that Jetset has felt much of a downturn. Business is steady and solid these days. With all the talk of a collapse in the housing market I note with interest that Jetset’s clients within this industry (title companies primarily) have been very busy. I assume it’s not foreclosure work that we’re delivering. I don’t think that’s title company biz.
O.K. other random notes and sightings:
If you like the hip-hop or as I like to call it the “pop-hop” Kanye’s new song is pretty great. The alternate video made for the song is killer:

As a denizen of Marin county summer mornings can be challenging. I leave my house every AM to blue skies and the lofty potential of a warm day only to observe from the ferry window the fog that surrounds San Francisco like a bad habit. It’s like sailing into a bad mood. I usually get over it by lunch.
Speaking of Marin. I’ve got a new pad. I need a coffee table. And a TV stand. Point me towards something interesting. I can’t walk into IKEA again this year. I may gut myself like a disgraced samurai if I do.
There was an interesting discussion amongst the messengers the other day regarding the quality of Taqueria Cancun burritos. The general consensus was that they vary widely on a day to day basis. This seems odd but perhaps speaks to the home grown nature of their food. But for the price…well messengers know a good deal when they taste one.
So, it’s August. August!! Where has the summer gone? Pretty soon we’ll all be running around without our pants on at Burning Man. Or, at least, that’s what I’ve heard.
Until Next time.
